OUR PASTORs

Andrew Jonathan Hayes was born in Charleston, SC and raised in Bolivia, NC. He graduated from high school at Wilmington Christian Academy in Wilmington, NC. He pursued a professional golfing career by attending Methodist College in Fayetteville, NC. Part of the program requirements was to complete internships during the summer. Jonathan chose to fulfill this requirement in Long Island, New York at Rock Hill Country Club located in Manorville.

Jonathan loved the area of Long Island and decided to transfer to a nearby college called Dowling College, where he played for the golf team on a scholarship. During these years, Jonathan was not serving or following the Lord. He had been raised in church his whole life, but once he reached college age, he stepped away from his relationship with God.

After becoming a teaching professional at Rock Hill Country Club, God sent a

local Pastor to the golf course by the name of Frank Anthone White. Jonathan

had taught and trained other pastors in the area in the game of golf, but there

was something altogether different about this encounter. Jonathan said that one

day as he was giving Pastor White a playing lesson on the golf course, he felt a

peace he had never experienced before. He asked Pastor White what that feeling was and Pastor White said it was the Peace of God he was experiencing, coming from Pastor White’s relationship with Christ. It was at this point that Jonathan surrendered his life to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

From that point forward, the passion Jonathan had for golf was taken away and he was completely sold out to Jesus. Pastor White (now a Bishop in the Church of God in Christ) personally discipled Jonathan for the better part of 3 years, along with the late Bishop Frank Otha White and Dr. Juliette White.

Jonathan became a member of the historic King’s Chapel C.O.G.I.C and Zion Cathedral C.O.G.I.C. Jonathan completed his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from Dowling College and also attended Mason Kelly Washington Religious Training Institute where he graduated valedictorian. After more than 3 years, Jonathan felt the call of God to attend Oral Roberts University to further his theological studies. Jonathan graduated with a Master’s Degree in Divinity in 2007.

Kristie Michelle Hayes was raised in Burnsville, Minnesota. Kristie attended and graduated from Burnsville High School and was very involved in Destiny Christian Center throughout her teenage years. She was very active in youth ministry and leadership roles as a teenager and even leading a bible study at her public school. After graduating high school, she attended Oral Roberts University as her desire was to continue growing in her relationship with Jesus and to be trained in ministry. Kristie served as an Outreach Coordinator with the ORU Outreach and Missions Department.

Kristie graduated from ORU Summa Cum Laude with an English Bible Degree and minoring in Spanish. She taught as a Kindergarten teacher in Illinois and has assisted with leading a children’s ministry in New Jersey. Kristie furthered her education by attending and graduating with a Master’s Degree in Education from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
